Loganholme to Westmar

385KM – Departed 1500 Arrived 2000

The decision was made to take off at lunchtime Christmas Day to get a jump start on our latest adventure. We intended to stop juts outside of Dalby but ended up pushing through to Westmar.

As most people would know…. Including us….. You should never travel after dusk as the chance of hitting wildlife is high. Well we didnt follow that warning and pushed through to “get just a bit further down the road”.. AND……

We hit a roo…….Like a thief in the night the bloody thing came from nowhere hitting the passenger side rear panel causing damage to the trim, leaving fur on the side step and wheel. Luckily there was no major damage to the car and none to the van…..

The other issue we had was we think we wiped out most of the dragonfly population as they painted the front of the Car and van.

Our warning to you all is… stick to plan, stop early, don’t try to push that little bit further, it can end in tears…

We didn’t stop anywhere on the way out today as it was just a travel day, some days you just need to get places before the adventure can start… Tomorrow we see how far we can go to started on new
